Local Environment Rob Steed Tree Care adheres strictly to and encourages E.U Habitat Regulations 1997 & Wildlife Act 2000 and promotes eco-arboriculture. We aim to use when available biodegradable diesel fuel ‘Eco 5%’ for vehicles and bio / vegetable oil lubricants for chainsaws, tools and machines. All arboricultural green waste is recycled locally
Arboricultural Standards All arboriculture work carried is in line with European and British Standards BS3998 ‘Recommendations for Tree Work’ and the 'European Tree Pruning Guide' when undertaking tree work. By regular attendance at professional seminars we keep up to date with latest arboricultural skills, current new regulations and legislation. We can then pass this knowledge onto our clients. All our staff hold formal college and National Proficiency Tests Council industry qualifications.
Registration We are V.A.T and C2 registered.
Insurance For your peace of mind, Rob Steed Tree Care carries full Public Liability and Employers Liability Insurance specifically tailored for the Arboriculture / Tree surgery industry. Method statements and risk assessments are issued for every job covering all work operations that are undertaken.
Health & Safety Our company safety statement is reviewed and published annually. Rob is trained and certified as a ‘First Aid Responder’, Aerial Rescue and holds a Safe Pass card. All our tree care and safety equipment is audited and inspected every six months by King Mechanical Services, Tuam on behalf of Health & Safety Authority.
